MUCC’s 150th anniversary celebrations will reach
their pinnacle on 23 December with two Twenty20 games
featuring some very prominent former MUCCers. James Sutherland,
Ian Botham, Jim Higgs, Paul Sheahan and cricket correspondent
Greg Baum are among the MUCCers on the invite list. And
county cricketers Paul McMahon and David Alleyne have
been charged with the responsibility of bringing the Barmy
Army down to Uni Main.

Six new MUCCers helped the club record four wins out of
five this week against Camberwell and Reds. Matt Marshall,
Michael Nalesnyik, Russell Marks, Anthul Vijay, Matt Keily
and Lincoln Loi helped the 2s and 4s both win by 52 runs,
and the 3s and MCA A graders win by 7 and 9 wickets respectively

With finals scores of 149 and 120 against Geelong and Melbourne, Antony Barton
has been the one shining light in the club's unsuccessful
finals campaign in the 1s, 2s and 4s. Barton's big-match
temperament has made him an early favourite to be picked
in next season's Victorian Under-19 side

Uni has completed its long-overdue first sweep of the season with nine players
coming to the fore against Northcote and South Yarra.
The all-conquering 2s and 4s won by 9 wickets and 117
runs respectively, the 1s and 5s won by 48 and 74 runs,
and Adam Trevitt starred in a miraculous 2-wicket win
for the 3s

The MUCCers came within one run of their first sweep of the season, with the 3s
being held to a tie and the 1s, 2s and 4s all winning
against Footscray.
The 1s won by 152 runs, the 2s by 7 wickets and the 4s
by 4 wickets with the stars being Jarrod Leggett, Pat
O'Beirne, Anthony Keely, Daniel Payne, Hamish Bull and
Ashley Robertson
