Victoria's loss is University's gain as club captain Brendan Joseland will be playing for us this weekend against Hawthorn Monash Uni in the first week of the finals.
BJ made a second innings 51 off 50 balls against Tasmania and broke a 163-run partnership between Dighton and Clingeleffer with his fourth ball in first-class cricket. But it wasn't enough to seal a place in the Pura Cup final.
BJ, who assumed the 1st XI captaincy in this his 10th season at MUCC, has had a brilliant season, scoring heavily and taking 22 wickets at 20 for University.
This success has come from BJ's skill, fitness, determination and hard work.
