The MUCCers came within one run of their
first sweep of the season, with the 3s being held to
a tie and the 1s, 2s and 4s all winning against Footscray.
The 1s won by 152 runs, the 2s by 7 wickets and the
4s by 4 wickets with the stars being Jarrod Leggett
(pictured) with his first club century, Pat O'Beirne
with 100, Anthony Keely 91, Daniel Payne 86, Hamish
Bull with 4/20 and Ashley Robertson 4/43.
Nick Williams, Greg Kennedy, Nick Elsmore, Angus Legoe
and James King all chipped in with 3 wickets, State
squad member Brendan Joseland made a welcome half-century
and helmetless Englishman Martyn Dobson stroked an unbeaten
61.
In the 3s, Rajiv Mukunthan took the catch off the bowling
of Adam Trevitt that clinched the tie.
The 2s, under captain Hugh Van Cuylenburg, have been
the stand-out performers at the club this season with
7 wins and a draw from their 8 matches.
