A State side and a British university will square off against the MUCCers in November and December.
As part of its build-up to the national under-19 championships, the Victorians will play a one-dayer against a MUCC under-23 side on Tuesday 16 November.
State under-19 coach Neil Buszard (pictured) sees the game as vital preparation for the 12-day tournament which starts in Melbourne on 6 December.
MUCCers Marc Murphy and Scott Sanders are in the preliminary 30-man squad for the tournament, so hopefully they will be playing against us on 16 November.
Hull University, which has campuses in the coastal Yorkshire towns of Scarborough and Hull, will play a two-day intervarsity match here against Melbourne University from Tuesday 21 December.
