Proving yourself at a new club can be a hard road but
for Anoop Singh and Tony Sidebottom their path to MUCC
stardom has been nice and quick.
Sidebottom, a former University of NSW cricketer, has
combined outswingers, off-cutters and a lethal bouncer
to take 6/21 and 6/58 in his two outings for the club.
Having moved to Fitzroy to be the store manager of Castle
Books in Gertrude Street, Sidebottom is commemorating
his six-wicket hauls by discounting Glenn McGrath's
World Cup Diary to $9.95.
Anoop, better known as Poona to his new teammates, has
done his best Pat O'Beirne impersonation by blasting 127
opening the innings.
Premiership-winner Adam Trevitt then made sure the brilliant
century wasn't wasted by taking 7/62, with five Carlton
players having their furniture rearranged.
